The opening of Skrill account is free of charge. The registration takes less than a minute and you can start sending and receiving funds immediately.

    2. What are the fees for uploading funds?

Skrill aims to provide low cost local deposit options for all supported countries. The fees are percentage from the deposited funds. The payment options for which Skrill does not apply fee are marked as Free.

Receiving money is always free of charge.

If you have a business account with Skrill, fees may apply depending on your account status and the nature of your business.


    6. What is currency conversion fee?

For all transactions types (deposits, withdrawals, send/receive money transactions, Skrill card products transactions etc.) involving currency conversion, a fee of 3.99% is added to our wholesale exchange rates.

This charge helps protect both parties from the volatility and risk associated with foreign exchange markets. The fee may vary according to your account status.

Please bear in mind that the currency conversion fee is often applied automatically and without prior notice.


    7. What are the fees for the Skrill Prepaid Mastercard®?

  • Skrill Prepaid Mastercard® (physical)*

There is an application fee of €10 for the Skrill PrepaidMastercard®. Most services available with your Skrill Card* are free of charge. Apart from our annual fee (€10), we only charge for ATM usage (1.75% of the withdrawal amount).

The fees remain the same whether you are in your country of residence or abroad.

  • Skrill Virtual Prepaid Mastercard®**

The first Skrill Virtual Prepaid Mastercard® is free, and there is no monthly or annual service fee. You are entitled to one virtual card at a time. The cost of any subsequent card is 2.50 EUR.
