How do I verify my credit or debit card with Skrill?

Verifying your card will increase the amount you can deposit with it. This is also a security step that Skrill undertake to help you protect your Skrill account and card information. *

You can verify your card only after you have made a successful deposit with it.

The card verification is made through a 4-digit validation code. It will appear on your credit/debit card statement along with the transaction details of your deposit to Skrill. When looking for the verification code, you will need to search forSkrill 1234”. The number after “Skrill” will be the verification code to use.

If you have chosen the option to save your card details, the card will appear within Credit or debit card under the DEPOSIT section of you account, along with the option to increase its limit.

Once you locate the payment in your online banking, click on the INCREASE LIMIT link under the card you want to verify, enter the code and click on CONFIRM.

Good to note:

  • Depending on how quickly your bank or card issuer displays transactions on your account and how you access your statements, this type of verification can take from a few seconds to a few days. If you can’t find the transaction, please contact your bank.
  • You will have 3 attempts to complete the verification. If you submit 3 incorrect validation codes, you will need to wait 24h before trying again.

If for some reason you are unable to verify your card, you can contact us for further assistance. Please note that a document (e.g. credit card statement) might be requested for the manual verification of your card.

*If you don’t see the option to verify your card in your Skrill account, it means that the verification is not required for it.
