How can I use Klarna (formerly Sofort├╝berweisung) to Send Direct?

You can use Klarna to fund your Send Direct transaction via your bank account if you are in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands and United Kingdom.

Klarna will appear as an option in the ‘Fund Transfer’ section of Send Direct. The payments are processed in EUR except for UK (GBP) and Poland (PLN).

Can I pay using another person’s bank account?

No, payments must come from a bank account in your name as registered on your Skrill account. We cannot accept payments from bank accounts with a different name. Making a payment from a joint account (where you are one of the named account holders) may be accepted but additional verification may be required.

How long does a Klarna funded bank transfer take?

Klarna funds usually take 2-3 days (not including weekends) to arrive at Skrill. The Send Direct transfer will then be processed afterwards. The expected time it will take will be displayed on screen when you choose your destination country and payment method.

What if the payment fails to reach the recipient?

Any failed transfers will be returned to the sender’s bank account. Refunds usually take 1-2 business days to be processed.

Are there any limits on the amount that can be sent through Klarna?

Yes, there are limits for single transactions as well as cumulative limits for continuous transactions. These limits vary per country and will appear on screen when you attempt to send more money than is permitted.

Can I cancel my transfer?

Transfers cannot be cancelled once we have received your payment and sent to your chosen destination.
