How do I verify my account?

All U.S. customers must verify their identity before using Skrill. Although this process is automatic for most customers, some will need to provide additional documentation in order to complete their identity verification.

When you log in to your Skrill account, and click on "verify your identity now", you will be asked to provide your personal information (e.g. full name, address, birth date), as well as your social security number. Once done, you will receive the message that you have successfully verified your identity.

If, however, there was an issue during the process, you will see a red message that the verification was unsuccessful, and that you need to provide documents for manual verification. The documents you need to upload are:

  •  A color copy of your ID such as diver's license or passport.
  •  Proof of address such as utility bill or bank statement issued within the last three months.
